Schmidt Offset Couplings

Zero-Max has designed the Schmidt line of couplings specifically for difficult misalignment applications.

Schmidt Offset Couplings offer great flexibility in shaft displacement while maintaining undisturbed power transmission at constant angular velocity.
The Offset Couplings provide a smooth flow of power for a maximum product quality. And, unlike universal joints, there is no performance loss by increasing shaft offset.

L100 series
  • Parallel shaft displacement: 0.156"-3.026" (linear displacement)
  • Torque ratings: 55 inlb - 1300 inlb
  • Shaft speeds up to 4000 RPM

L200 and L300 series
  • Parallel shaft displacement: 0.437"-17.2" (linear displacement)
  • Torque ratings: 637 inlb -
    459,000 inlb
  • Shaft speeds up to 2500 RPM
Double universal joints can provide large shaft displacement - but cause radial forces at the joints, velocity variation, and require large lateral space.
Overcome these problems – by the use of a Schmidt Offset Coupling.
