Once again Naismith Engineering have expanded its range of
Sit Trasco Curved Jaw couplings.
We now carry the two different styles of standard hub - ‘A’ and
‘B’ styles. The difference is in the maximum bore that will fit in
to each hub. This can be worked out from the part number. For
example, GRMP-42/55. This hub will take up to 42mm bore and key with
an ‘A’ style hub and 55mm bore and key with a ‘B’ style hub.
| The ‘A’ style hub has a stepped boss, which is why the maximum
bore is smaller, but this makes the hub lighter, whereas the ‘B’
style hub has a boss diameter that is very close to the same as the
outside diameter of the coupling. The ‘A’ and ‘B’ style hubs are
available in both Cast Iron and Aluminium. |
 |
We are also stocking the long series hubs in both style ‘A’ and
‘B’. These hubs are ideal for use on long shafts when you want the
full length of the shaft to be covered by the hub, or to take up a
shaft spacing problem. The long hubs are heavier, and provide a
higher inertia.
The TRASCO Coupling range is one of the most versatile
couplings in the Naismith Engineering range. It has standard hub
with many configurations available in Cast Iron and Aluminium. The
standard hubs are also available to suit taper lock bushes and bolt
on flanges. The elements are available in 3 different shore hardness
80 shore (Blue), 92 Shore (White or Yellow) and 98 Shore ( Red).
The same basic coupling design is also available in a Zero
Backlash range, with specially machined Zero Backlash hubs made of
Aluminium in Solid and Clamp Style hubs. For further information email
