The Tschan-S coupling is a torsionally flexible, shock-proof jaw
coupling which compensates angular, radial & axial shaft misalignment
within specified tolerances. Polyurethane elastomers (VkR) are oil
resistant & withstand temperatures between -30oC to +100oC
and ensure electrical insulation between connected machines as long as
there are no other electrically conductive connections. Elastomers made
of Buna N (pb) and grade VkB are electrically conductive and could
prevent undesirable electrostatic charges. Elastomers of different
strengths are colour-coded for identification.
